Strengthened security checks on the feedback form displayed after an error has occurred
Additional security checks have been introduced into the Prism feedback form displayed when an error occurs. These include:
- A CAPTCHA check
- A check for a minimum of 5 characters entered in the feedback field
- Cross scripting checks
Further accessibility fixes
We have fixed some issues related to fields being incorrectly labelled or not labelled (WCAG 1.3.1. Info and Relationships and WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value) which may hinder assistive technologies’ ability to navigate the screen. Changes have been made on the following screens:
- On the full bib record screen for the summary of copies at sites, a navigation role=”tablist” has been added indicate that there could be more than one site listed.
- On pages where the search field is displayed, an aria-label has been added to the Local catalogue drop down.
- On the Build search screen an aria-label has been added for the main search field.
On the Login to My account page, the autocomplete attribute had been used incorrectly on the PIN field (WCAG 1.3.5 Identify input purpose). This has been fixed.
On the following pages, the ‘Prism’ link in the footer is now underlined (WCAG 1.4.1 Use of Color) and displays when zoomed in at 200% and 400% (WCAG 1.4.4 and WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow)
- Home page
- Search results page
- Full record page
- Login to My account page
- Advanced search page
- Accessibility page
On the following pages more of the breadcrumb displays when zoomed in at 200% (WCAG 1.4.4)
- Search results page
- On the full record page
Updated accessibility statement
The default accessibility statement within Prism has been updated to reflect the findings of the accessibility scan we have carried out.
