Prism release 16th August 2021

We have identified an issue with our SSO Certificate for Prism. To rectify the issue we have generated a new certificate which is available from https://prism.librarymanagementcloud.co.uk/<your-tenancy-name>/saml/module.php/saml/sp/metadata.php/default-sp

and further information can be found here: https://blogs.librarymanagementcloud.co.uk/prism/2021/07/29/updates-to-the-prism-single-sign-on-metadata/.

Please download the update when you next want to use SSO.

If you encounter any issues, please contact ESS support on 0333 0150 212.

Traditional sign on access has been available in this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

As part of this release to live we also included this item:

  • EBSCO moving to https

Please see this release notice for further details on this point.

Prism release to preview 11th August 2021

We’re pleased to announce that the next release of Prism is now available for preview. This release includes:

  • EBSCO moving to https

EBSCO moving to https

EBSCO is updating their API to use https rather than http. They have implemented the https change in parallel with http at the moment and will be switching off http access to the API on 1st September 2021. Details can be found here.

To ensure continued service after 1st September, we have updated Prism to use https to access the EBSCO API.

Release Procedure

Making the most of your preview

Please review the preview version as early as possible, to familiarise yourself with the new functionality and check that your tenancy still behaves as expected in terms of functionalities, including extensions, and styling.

You can preview this release by inserting ‘-demo’ into your tenancy URL after the word ‘prism’, like this: prism-demo.librarymanagementcloud.co.uk/{your tenancy name} . If you have your own host name, you’ll need to use prism-demo.librarymanagementcloud.co.uk instead.

Release to the live service

Prism will be released to live service on Wednesday 18th August 2021.
