We have already had some positive feedback about the new My Account, which is good, but I thought I had seen a version with cover images displaying, which isn’t the case now – am I wrong about that or was it something that didn’t prove possible in the end?

Hi Heather,
It’s not possible with the current version of Local Data Services that Prism 3 customers are running, however, with the updated version that is entering a beta test phase we now get the information required to display book jackets, so this will be coming soon.
Kind regards,
Phil John
Prism 3 Technical Lead.

Excellent, many thanks. I wondered if it was tied to the LDS but couldn’t find anything that definitely said so.

On the list of loans, if you don’t want to use Renew All, the Renew tick box by each item has been replaced by a renew button – click the button and it renews that book (which can take several seconds) and then goes back to the list for you to click on another. So to renew several from your list is a long and slow task (similar to Prism 1 which didn’t have a Renew All option at all).

Hi Steve,
Part of the idea behind this change was to streamline the most common my account task: renewing all loans. We don’t want this to be at the cost of increasing the difficulty of another, so we’re looking at some options now that this use case has come to light.
Kind regards,
Phil John
Prism 3 Technical Lead.

Thanks Phil.
Another area that needs looking at is the response screen after Renew All when one or more of the items is either reserved or at the limit of the number of renewals allowed. I have opened a helpdesk call on that one.
