Prism release to preview Tuesday 15th October 2024

We’re pleased to announce that the next release of Prism is now available for preview. This release includes the items below:

  • Fix to saving EDS references in RIS format
  • Fix to the display of magazine issues provided by BorrowBox
  • Updated accessibility statement

Saving EDS references in RIS format

When a reference to an EDS journal article is saved in the RIS format, the Ref Type field now shows the correct format, i.e. for a journal article ‘TY = JOUR’ is displayed.

To save a reference in RIS format, click on the Save button beside a record in the search results, or on the full record:

Then choose ‘RIS‘ in the Save pop-up:

Fix to the display of magazine issues provided by BorrowBox

Where magazine or periodical issues are provided through BorrowBox, the Available as field on the full record is now populated with ‘eJournal‘.

Updated accessibility statement

The default accessibility statement within Prism has been updated to clarify some details in relation to non-compliance and the preparation statement.

Release procedure

Please review the preview version as early as possible, to familiarise yourself with the new functionality. Other functionality, extensions and styling will be unaffected by this change.

It is necessary to use the prism-demo.librarymanagementcloud.co.uk/{your tenancy name} URL to preview a release, even if you have your own host name for the live service.

Release to the live service
