We’re pleased to announce that the next release of Soprano is now available for preview. This release includes:

- Changes to the VIEW MARC template to incorporate further updates from the Library of Congress
- Hover hints now appear on attributes of the Leader and 008 fields
Session Timeout for Soprano picked up from the Admin console
The Session Timeout for Soprano will now be picked up from the Admin console interface:
The Timeout value is entered in seconds. If you make a change to the Session Timeout you must then use the Reset Tenant Cache option to force the system to pick up the change.
When a user is inactive for the time specified in the Session Timeout, they are logged out of Soprano when they navigate away from the current page. If no Timeout value is set, the default is 3600 seconds (1 hour).
Please note that now that the software has been deployed to DEMO, the Session Timeout specified in the admin console will be picked up in DEMO.
On Wednesday 13th December, when the software is deployed to LIVE, the Session Timeout value will be picked up by users as soon as they log in to Soprano.
Changes to the VIEW MARC template to incorporate further updates from the Library of Congress
Changes have been made to the Marc21 template used by Soprano in VIEW MARC to update it with a further set of Library of Congress changes. More updates are to follow.
Hover hints on attributes of the Leader and 008 fields
In VIEW MARC, hover hints now appear on the Leader and 008 fields.
Note, that for 008 fields where more than one character can be entered, the space characters present in the field must be removed before you can enter the new characters.
